Two Things That Made My Day

My parents told me that yesterday when they were meeting with my advisor at school, they went to speak to my AP Chem teacher (Mr. LB). He told them that he wished he had more students that were like me: that were taking the class because they enjoyed it and not so it looked good on a resume and who were so enthusiastic. He said I had the ability to take the class, but because I didn't take honors chem, I didn't have the foundations. It was nice to hear him say that about me.

I went to Pegasus today, and afterward there was a pumpkin carving party. I thought it was for volunteers only, but it turns out it is for kids and volunteers. I was the only volunteer there who wasn't an instructor, but I didn't care one bit. I had so much. I started talking to two parents who had a daughter with Autism, they found out I was a volunteer and the mother said, "You guys are wonderful, I don't know what I'd do without you. This program has changed her life and you volunteers are just amazing." It made me smile, it was so great to hear that I was making a difference.

Then I played with an adorable girl named Maya who had a hearing impairment. She was so cute!!!

It was a wonderful mischief night!
