The College Hunt Begins

I got my SAT scores back. I got an 1860 out of 2400 or a 1270 out of 1600. Not bad for a first time without any prep.

But now I have to do some prep and take them a second time in March. I'm trying to get into the 1300s or so. That's really my goal. The closer to 700 I can get my math and reading scores the better.

I'm taking my ACT in February and we'll see how that goes.

I've been looking at colleges in the South and Midwest. There are 9 colleges that I and my college councilor have put together. There are three that I put down: UPenn, Swarthmore, and Northwestern. She put down six that are all in the Midwest, in pretty ho-dunk places, but I'm okay with that.
