I don't understand why people are against gay marriage. Why do you care if two people who are in love get married? When people talk about protecting the "sanctity of marriage" it makes me really angry. People get divorced all the time, you can't tell me that is part of the sanctity of marriage. How about you outlaw divorce? Or maybe make people take a test before they get married? Or how about put a limit on how long a person has been with another before they can get married? Nobody would ever do that because it's "ridiculous". Well so is saying that two people of the same sex who are in love can't get married.
My dad says he just doesn't want it to be called marriage. He says he doesn't care as long as they give it another name. Why do you care what it's called? Two men or two women should have the same rights as a man and a woman. Anyone who says otherwise should have their brain checked in my opinion.
